Homage to Nick Bantock Tarot Deck Project
Greetings Travelers… I hope to entice many who visit here willing to join in the game. Read on for the official invitation.
I invite you to join in an artist’s collaboration paying homage to Nick Bantock and the various art styles he’s brought to the forefront with his books, most notably the “Griffin and Sabine” trilogy. Each artist will take one card (perhaps two depending on the number of folks playing) and illustrate it, keeping in mind two things: meaning of the card/symbols associated with it AND the “feel” of Bantock (though obviously infused with one’s own style of work.) You will also create the companion “text” card explaining the meaning associated and any info you choose concerning how you went about creating your work. You will send to the hostess (me) COPIES of your pieces (not the originals) for redistribution. Final specs, such size, due date etc will be forthcoming. I’m looking at the beginning of summer as for due but that’s not locked in stone yet. I’m including in this invitation to several groups who are new to my collaborations, and hopefully some wonderful artists will be find their way to Travelers H’Art/
If you have a preference for a card, feel free to send it to me, though I do not guarantee at this point, that I will be able to accommodate you. Perhaps sending me several options would be a good idea.
Please respond either here or to reddawgi@yahoo.com your “yes.” Thanks, folks. The game is on! “
“Music” is the Theme for Collage Obession
Greetings… Was SO happy to read this theme for Collage Obsession for the week. Of course, had to go with one from my all time favorite female singer, songwriter, painter (hell, is there anything Joni Mitchell CAN’T do in the creative realm?) ;P Chose the song “Blue.” Have MANY favorites but this one lends itself well, me thinks, to the imagery.
Three Muses’ Challenge-Time
Greetings… The challenge this week at Three Muses was “Time.” I LOVE this clock image, found on the web.
Dark House at Collage Obsession
Hello folks… this is a challenge from Collage Obsession’s weekly challenge. We were asked to use the dark house image provided. I decided to go a little lighthearted and sort of silly. Hope you like.
“Hot” for Three Muses Challenge
Hello folks…This week’s challenge over at Three Muses was “Hot.” I went pretty literal I think. Had fun with the idea. Hope you dig. ;>
Hearts! for Sunday PC Art
Hello Folks… The theme for this week was “Hearts,” (for obvious reasons ;>) Here’s what I’ve done.
balloons from [link]

stars on balloon from Holliewood’s “Thing Finder” kit at Deviant Scrap
two b/g textures from MorgueFiles
Collage Obession Challenge-”Transformation”
So, I’ve been working with dragon images all week for Chinese New Year’s challenges and decided to transform my daughter into a “two headed dragon.” One has to look closely to note the dreadlocks that give her that “wild” kind of look.
All images and b/g were from Holliewood’s ATC5 collection at Deviant Scrap
. Texture is from ShadowHouse Creations. Woman is daughter Gabrielle.
Sunday Postcard Art Challenge-Steampunk!
Oh! I DO love steampunk art and costume. I think, thanks to the Sherlock Homes movie, it’s seen a bit of a revival. (Or maybe I’m just late to the party…) Anyway, here’s my piece for the game.
Black and White for Three Muses Challenge
Here’s my entry for the “black and white” theme at Three Muses. Hope you dig.
